"What Does It Take To Be An I.C.T. Student?"

          Technology has immense power to transform learning in and beyond the classroom and educational decision-makers need to address, understand and define the relationship between technology and improved learning, so that the market within education is not exploited for commercial gain only. Many of us, especially youth would want to have his/her gadget. Because of different technologies that are being made by people, our works are becoming faster and easier.
           ICT literacy will impact on educational traditions. The new habits of young people, shaped by ICT, will need to be incorporated into how they teach and they learn. Just as we have issues of literacy and numeracy facing our young people, the concept of information literacy will gain increasing currency. We need to ensure that concepts of understanding, judgments, discrimination, and communication are applied to what is available through ICT. ICT for me, is very much important to our life, though it is just like hard to get, because we will be able to catch up with the happenings of this generation. Being one of the ICT students of the present school year, it helps me to have more knowledgeable ideas in advance. It is really a big help for me, because it also helps me to gain more knowledge about the different technologies. There are many benefits and advantages of catching up with this one. But some other people, used to have it, and they don't even how to use it. Learning ICT with very much pleasure is very much important and appreciated by those teachers who are a part of the ICT, because they are the one who teach us in their very best for us to be able to know how to use different topics which we may use even when we have already reach our adulthood.
          As an ICT student, it is very important to know that ICT is much important because it helps motivate us, students and even teachers. Never lose the opportunity not to miss this ICT because without technologies, our works would not go easier and faster. Many of the people of today, are being inspired because they would want to learn more and gain more knowledge about this. ICT is a very big help for us, so, we should not waste much time to those things not that really important, instead, we must study hard for our own sake and to have experience in this ICT, because it is really exciting and I assure that we can all be a successful one in the future with the use of this.   

"My Dream, My Future"

          Every person of a single hour used to think his future. All of us have different ambitions and wants in life which we may prefer to be more responsible enough to be serious in our studies most especially to the youth who are studying, and even children who are not that so familiar with this and in their life as a youth of this generation and likewise for the coming of more generations. It is very important that while we are still young, we know now if what our needs, wants, goals in life.
          When I was still young, my mother told me that people who have no dreams will not fly far away. I was confused, because I was still a child, and for that, I didn't actually understood what that mean. And for now, because of those words my mother told me, I am definitely inspired by those, and I will never forget that one. Every night, when we go to sleep, while we are sleeping, sometimes we notice that we are dreaming, and that dream maybe a good dream, a bad dream, a scary one, and even a sweet dream. We are a good dreamers in our own abilities and skills. We have enough knowledge to think about what would be our futures in life, the right and the best way we must commit. Many of us want to be respected, like me,  but one thing I assure is that, we must respect first ourselves and others so we can be respected one. Why I'm saying this? It is because respecting everyone is very important for us, and it inspires us to become better person to the body. This is one of my dreams that in the future, I will be bringing as an ordinary human.
          Like other people, aside from what I want, which is that to be respected, I have also a dream, which I want to become in the future. My vision for the future entails many goals that I know I will have to work hard to achieve. I feel that the path to accomplishing my goals will be though hard work within my education.  My formal education is a factor that has been the basis for my success throughout primary school and high school. I believe that it will continue to be the tool that will lead me to success in the future. My first and foremost plan is to graduate from high school. I consider this to be a huge accomplishment considering that many people don't make it that far.
          And for that, I want to try my very best in order for me to become a successful person someday, because no one would want to become unsuccessful in life, and if ever I'll fail and have problems, especially with my studies, I will keep on dreaming to overcome those problems and I'll keep believing that I will be having a good future. I will always think positive that I will be able to achieve all my goals and dreams in life.

"Change: It Starts With Me!"

          We all want change, aren't we? For the past decades or years of existence in our lives, some of us definitely not yet contented with what we have and with who we are. We actually realize that our life is full of mysteries. We are really enjoying ones life to the fullest that we can and to the best that we can share and give to everyone.
          By the way, what is a change? What is the importance of being changed, as a human being? What does it take to become a better person, or what is its advantage in our life if we want for a change? Well, for me, change is what we call the beginning, because every beginning has a change, and change begins with ourselves as humans. We must always say and think that every change we make, always starts in ourselves because without beginning it in our own selves, we cannot probably be en inspiration to those who are in need of that kind of a change. We are being inspired by the person who we think needs a change to become a better person.
          Everyone of us wants to change with regards to our emotions or feelings, our bad doings and attitudes, our mistakes, most especially, into good, and we probably want to make them right. As a teenager in this generation, there are many things that I am dealing with, just got to be able to change. As I begin to grow and develop, all I want is to be more matured especially my attitude. Every now and then, I am always pursuing in order for me to fulfill and commit that kind of change I want in my whole life as a good person and to become a better example especially to the youth today.
          So, for this, I must be considering that change is very important to our lives because it inspires many of the people who want to change, and to be more responsible human being, most especially, to the youth, it is not yet the end, there is always a time for everything, instead, we begin a change in our own selves, in the best ability that we can do, to be able to make people happy likewise to ourselves.

"KANNAWIDAN: The Ylocos Festival"

          Every place we go, there is always be different festivals which we may celebrate, especially inside our own community. Festival is an event, usually and ordinarily staged by local communities which centers on and celebrate some unique aspects of that community. It is an occasion for celebrating a day or time of religious significance that regularly recurring program of cultural performances, exhibitions and even competitions.
          KANNAWIDAN Festival of the province of Ilocos Sur is being celebrated every year. This province has a rich heritage and has also a unique culture that are to preserved for the next generations because it is observed that many of the traditions, songs, dances and other Ilocano culture are not that exactly familiar to the younger generations. Most of the children of today are more paying attention to the modern and novelty dances they seen on the televisions than in the traditional ones.  There is also a need to evaluate the different products of the different municipalities and the agricultural products and livestock of the farmers and fisher folks. Because of this, the provincial government of Ilocos Sur conceived a festival that will highlight these culture and traditions and attract local and foreign tourists as well. They call it the KANNAWIDAN Ylocos Festival, it is also a time to commemorate the anniversary of Ilocos Sur as a province. There is really so much fun if every year, we are watching the versatility of different products of the province and likewise the different highlights of this celebration. All of these are evidence that the Kannawidan Ylocos Festival is already becoming a fast rising festival in the country as shown by the number of participants and tourists who flocked and become a part of the festival. Kannawidan indeed is an attraction because it showcases the culture of Ilocanos that made them distinct from other ethnic groups of the Philippines.
          As this festivity culminates, many of the youth today are beginning to welcome this occasion as a part of the human traditions, and beginning to share knowledgeable ones, and accept that this is already a part of our lives. This KANNAWIDAN Festival is an annual festival that aims to create awareness on the preservation on the next generations. As we go through our lives, and encounter the modern ones, we should always be remembering the cultural traditions, because this is one way to forget problems, and to be happy and realize that this is very important. 

"My Reflection" (For the Third Quarter)

          As we all know, Technology and Livelihood Education, is a subject wherein we can learn different things and skills which we can probably use in the future. In this subject, we are using not only our brains, but also our abilities. This subject is definitely more vocational than the others. It provides a learning environment which is rich in adaptive technological knowledge, inculcates commitment in works and abilities and others.

          In the third grading period, I have learned much more about tags, HTML images and links, attributes and others. Though, it was a little bit harder, I probably did all the exercises that what was told to us by our teacher in T.L.E. There are so many exercises and posts we have made, and thank God, I definitely made them all for I had to work on it, because those are exactly needed for the requirements. Links otherwise known as the hyperlinks are defined using anchor element (<a> tag). To use that hyperlink, use the anchor element in conjunction with the href attribute, and that value of that href attribute is the URL, based from what I have copied. It was a little bit hard to analyze, and for that I was confused because of the tags that we did last grading period, but, I'm thankful, because with the help of my friends, I really made and enjoyed making those kind of situations.

          I have learned that though T.L.E. is a hard subject because of many tags, hyperlinks, attributes and others, it is very important to have learning from it, because we can use it in the future, as I have said, it is more vocational, and who knows, in the future, there would be a successful individuals because of Technology and Livelihood Education especially, about computers.
          For the coming last grading period, which is fourth, I will do my very best just to be more responsible student and I will study harder for the sake of my future, because I want to be a successful person someday, somehow. 

"New Year, New Me!"

          Every individual has been experiencing and has been thinking how to become a stronger human being, how to protect ones self, how to become a better person, and others which can lead us and bring us to a better future. Those kind of changes could wait for a long time, but others must say that the beginning of changing characteristics, emotions, realities and changing of life are being changed when New Year comes.
          For my own knowledge about new year, is that, New Year is the best and the right time to change our bad attitudes into goods. New Year is not only for happiness, for celebrating the first day of a new year, but it is also for our own selves. We must always accept and consider that this means not only one but for all reasonable things which must be changed first in ourselves.
          New Year! New Me! I can say that New Year is one of the most important holidays and reasons why we are lucky and happy because for me, New Year means New Life, and New Life means New Hope. I have been changing my attitudes and my characteristics since I have known what New Year means. I was a little bit bothered by my cousins when they tell that New Year is the time for a change for all things, like the face, the hairstyles, the things, definitely the attitudes, and others that must be changed all over our lives, especially our body improvement. We must change our mistakes and bad doings into good every new and every first day of a year.
          New Year! New Me! I must consider that I have changed through the help of New Year. Though, this was not my first time to change, I have been given a new life, a new hope and a new chance to work harder than the past years of my life. New Year is very much important because it reminds us how to become a better person in the future and it reminds us how important our life is, so we should not waste so much time to do things which are not that so important.

"Keeping in Mind Our Mother Tongue"

          In the past 16 years of my life, I didn't yet encounter the words, "Mother Tongue", but for my own explanation and definition of those words, I think it has very powerful impact in the formation of any individual. It is a language which sounds great which is good to hear and gets familiar with which helps develop such an important role in shaping our thoughts and emotions.

          We definitely keep in mind mother tongue for our own good. Our first comprehension of the world around us is the learning of concepts and skills and perception of our existence which starts with the language that is taught first to us, our mother tongue. We would be able to express our feelings, happiness, fears. Our mother tongue has such an important role in framing our thinking minds and emotions. It is one of the ways that brings joyful and makes stronger bond in the family, especially between the mother and her child or children. Our being shyness, personality, character, skills and our hidden characteristics become truly revealed with the use of the mother tongue because its sound in the ear and its meaning in our hearts gives us the trust and the confidence to become strong.

          I therefore consider that the use of our mother tongue is very much important to us, every individual must learn and know how mother tongue brings to us because it plays very important role in our lives, so we must keep it in our minds and hearts. We should promote the mother tongue, so that we would be able to communicate clearly. We must establish a home language and make consistent efforts to help each individual, especially children develop good literary skills in the language.
